Default what am i missing?

i am a new user of VB6 and Crystal reports. My company is moving from Crystal reports 6 to Crystal reports 10. I cannot get VB6 to run with V10 but can if I load V8.5 first, then v10. Something has been added to v8.5 that is not incorporated in V10. I don't know what to include with my load of V10. Forgive me if I am not making much sense. As I said, this is pretty new to me. Any help is appreciated. thank you
