Hi Guys,
        Need some help with cr 8.5 on oracle.
        I am trying to do two things.
        Firstly I need to create groups on a report that group by the first two characters in the field.
        Secondly I need to truncate the group names to those characters and convert them to numeric so that I can use this as a link to a subreport.

u can create a view of ur tables and create a dummy column tht contains first 2 characters of the grouped column
