Default Optimizing CrystalReportViewer

Re: CR10 Advanced Developer Edition
My stored proc and stand-alone Crystal Report take less than 30 seconds to execute. Here is my problem: I'm using CrystalReportViewer to dispay the reports for the end user(s) and it takes more than 10 mins to generate about 1000 pages of data. Is this because I'm using CrystalReportViewer? If yes, is there a way I can optimize it?
...Should I consider using ActiveX viewer?
