Default SubReport Outline Box not Printing

I have an application written in VS 2008/VB. One of my reports has a subreport in it. When on the rpt development page, if on the subreport with a right click I select "Format Object" and then select the "Border" tab and then in the Line Style I select "single" for the Left:, Right:,Top:, and Bottom: then OK out. If I then select the Main Report Preview the outline box is visible exactly like I want it. When I execute the program and print that page, the outline box does not appear. Any suggestions as to what else I need to do (or not do).

Thanks
