Default margin-top on main wrap div not working in IE

I asked questions on 2/4/06. I waited till 2/17/06 till I realized that this forum maybe a bit fickle on what it discusses.

Question was about a 3 column centered layout using floated columns and negative margins on the right column 3. I provided a link to the xhtml and CSS.

I will continue to participate a while longer, maybe not all is dead yet.

cheers, deano

Were you able to solve the problem you brought up here?

If not, I'd need some links or the source code in order to see what's wrong, and a more detailed description of the problem you're facing.

Regards,
Rich

Hi Rich,

Thanks for replying. Problem long solved. I provided both a link and a detailed explanation back on my original post on 2/4/06. I waited till 02/17/06 then went ahead and edited out the link and problem description because I found far more active and responsive CSS discussion forums elsewhere. I suppose forums do not truly serve their intended purpose if users have to wait weeks before their post engages a discussion.

cheers, deano

I noticed the topic was stale, but wanted to follow up anyway. I'm glad you were able to solve the problem, mind filling us in on what it was and how you solved it?

No one who participates in these forums is obligated to answer any question posed here. Most of the time someone replies, and most of the time that happens pretty quickly. I find it unfortunate that instead of following up with a solution to your problem for future visitors to the forum to benefit from, you simply retracted your question all together. That's not the kind of attitude that will get you help from people who *volunteer* their time, effort, and expertise to these forums (or any forum for that matter).

To each their own. Speaking for myself, I'm only one guy, I try to read every post that comes through here, but that doesn't always happen, nor do I feel like it should.

Regards,
Rich
