Default New User, please help!

Hi there! I am new to Dreamweaver and I really like what I have seen so far, but I have run into a small problem (I think). I am just going through the book, which I purchased yesterday and am getting stuck on page 47. I know this is a bit early to get stuck on, but hey what can I say. I have created the index.htm, which appears to have been copied to all the necessary directories, but when I preview this in my browser, the URL is something like this:

http://localhost/thecookingplace/TMP39xiv4hnla.htm instead of:

And for some reason, I have both *.htm's in the remote view and testing server, but not in my local view. Has anyone come across this before? If so, can you please tell me what I have done wrong? I believe I have followed the instructions correctly.

Thanks in advance.

Try going into Edit - Preferences - Preview in Browser. Once there, shut Preview using Temporary Files off.

I discuss that in the book. If it is turned on, it creates a temporary file for the browser. When you turn it off, you just need to save the file before you preview it (not a big deal).

Hope this helps
