Beginning Dreamweaver Mx 2004 (Global Soccer)
Hi,
I have two problems.
1/ Page 256 re calculator, everything works okay except the result, db1Result, does not appear in the browser, I have checked the code many times and it is as per the book.
2/ Page 267 I have created the file global.asa.and now nothing will open in my browser, I get a message saying that <% %> is not allowed in global. asa. But it isn't in the file, once again I have checked the code you supplied many times and my asa file is correct.
I have deleted all the code on the page and entered the code as instructed per the book.
I have deleted the file completely to see what happens, and now when I switch to my browser I get a message saying that <% Else If %> as per book page 265 par. 9 (which is in the code on line 64 of Home.asp) is incorrect. but it was okay before I created global asa.
Any ideas??
regards
Terry S

Hi Terry,
Can you post the code for the *entire* pages? Including the opening and closing script tags etc so I can take a look?
Cheers,
Imar

You can either paste the code of your page in the text message window (you can use the # symbol on the toolbar to format the code between code tags).
If there is too much code to post, send me an e-mail through my profile page and I'll reply so you know my real e-mail address.
Cheers,
Imar

While typing this post, I was listening to: Mysterons by Portishead (Track 1 from the album: Dummy) What's This?

What do you mean with invalid? It should take you to my profile page.
If that doesn't work, click my name in the left column of this thread.
Maybe you clicked the link from within your e-mail? If that's the case, you should probably remove the [/url] at the end of the URL....
Cheers,
Imar
