Default trouble with Dreamweaver templates

I'm having some trouble getting the regions of my Dreamweaver template to be editable. Basically, I have a page with four layout cells divided into one large centered table. It's pretty straightforward, and there's no content yet. I want it to be a master template for the rest of the pages on my site. So I made the document a template and then made each of the layout tables editable, but when I apply the template to a new document, the tables are not adjustable, and I cannot draw new layout cells within the existing ones. I've even tried applying the template to a new document and then detaching the document from the template, but the regions are still not editable. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Hi there,

Can you post the code for the page, and describe the steps you took to turn it into a template with editable regions?

Can you please not cross-post your messages? The other forum you posted your message in is for support for the books Beginning Dreamweaver MX and Beginning Dreamweaver MX 2004, not for "regular" DW questions.

Cheers,

Imar
