I would like to have a bar with buttons of a certain colour (say, blue) but having a certain degree of transparency, so when placed on top of another background, the final colour would be a mix

Is it achievable WITHOUT using images, and just CSS?

i dnt think that will be possible. why dnt u use flash technology and then sort out the problem. it is easy in flash
