Default Pivot Table Fields Function

Hi Fellows

I am making some pivot tables, when i add data in to the data field, I need to put if I want to sum, count, average, max, min. Is there a way of no putting any of those options and just the direct number from the data base?

Thanks

Gaston

Is there a particular reason why a pivot table is the preferred tool. It sounds like you might just need the raw data in a table with an autofilter allowing the selection criteria to be made?

The Pivot table is by definition a tool that groups the categories and sums/avg/count etc the data field.

Hope this helps.

Matt

Thanks Matt, This is what I want to do.

Country (Row) Manufacturer (Row) Dates (Columns)
        Oct Nov Dic
Mexico A 120 125 121
Spain B 100 120 105
USA C 200 150 250

The numbers are prices, each month the prices change they increment or decrease, but the thing is that I need to see it this way.
for example if the user click on the country it opens a series of manufacturers with their prices and how they evolve trough out the year.

I hope this is clear.

Thanks
Gaston

Use sum, and in options, deselect grand totals.

select 'field' and change the title to something other that 'Sum of ....'
