Default Connect to Outlook Express email

I have an excel sheet where I monitor the performance of a small fleet of ships everyday. I get daily updates about say, the amount of cargo loaded/off-loaded everyday, amount of fuel consumed, weather conditions etc. via email (I use Outlook Express)

So, I am trying to make excel automatically extract the info from Outlook and update the sheet.

Can anyone help me on this. I would be obliged.

Thanks

You can't do that with Outlook Express. In spite of its similar name Outlook Express is a very different & much simpler product than Outlook and, in particular, does not expose an object model to automate.

The upshot of all of this is that you can't really do any sort of VBA interaction with Outlook Express unless you:
1) Are willing to try out some fiendish combination of SendKeys calls
2) Learn and use MAPI (invloves learning C++ whilst you're at it!)
3) Buy Outlook proper

If you have Outlook then this problem is relatively straightforward to solve.
