Hi:
I've written a single sheet workbook that is an assignment document with multiple fields (cells) of data that is emailed to a client. The client has another workbook that needs to import the assignment document data into same named fields (cells).
I am quite new at programming so this has me confused. Can this be done with VBA or do I have to go to XML importing ?
Any and all help is very appreciated.

You can try QueryTables. The query table will be in the master Excel (with client) and it can refer to the Excel you have sent [if placed in same path and with same name:)]

I am not familiar with QueryTables but I do see there are numerous pages devoted to it in my copy of Wrox Excel 2003 VBA so I shall find some quiet time this evening and will learn more about it. If I run into problems, I'll post another response on this thread.
