Ned: We didn't recreate the Word VBA forum from the old P2P because the posting stats for it didn't quite show enough demand. However, if enough other subscribers hear echo your request, I'll create it. So, I guess you can consider this a request for a vote: if you want a Word VBA group, please respond to this thread.

Why not rename the 'Excel VBA' topic to be 'VBA', which could incorporate Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint VBA, and create a topic for Access which could recieve the more technical Access/Access VBA posts.

Why not keep Excel VBA, and create a generic VBA for everything else? I think there is probably more VBA activity in Excel than the rest of the office apps put together :)

Sound good to me because in that way we can post questions for any office application under the VBA group.

I do not think that there is enough need for a Word VBA forum. I say this even though I am looking up something in word right now. Even just a general VBA forum may be one too many. Creating too many forums can become difficult to navigate.
I believe that p2p is a bit more technical than just office automation related issues.

I also don't think there's a need for a Word VBA forum. And as for the suggestion of just having an ExcelVBA and general VBA forum by chrislepingwell - that's also a bad idea - basically because Access involves a hell of a lot more VBA than Access.
I wouldn't be opposed to an "Office VBA" or "General VBA" forum in principle, but if people cross-post Office and Excel or Office and Access, then that would be a bad thing, and it's a thing which people would definitely do - main reason being that some people are stupid (some people eat blood sausage).
So while I in part agree with Ben, I agree more with Sal (Also, given the fact that Sal has 4 stars, I have 2, I think our combined 6 stars out vote funkyProgrammer, Ned, chrislepingwell and Ben's combined 2 stars)

Based on the lack of activity on the thread 8 months ago when this topic started, and the long lull in between posts, I don't see there's sufficient demand for another VBA group now. More importantly, if there's not a critical mass of people who are going to read it and answer each other's questions, the few posts it might generate will probably go unanswered, leaving the posters frustrated.

I agree with jminatel. And I am still trying to understand the Word object model.
