Default Issues with Links

Hello,

I thought you might like to know that I found some issues with how the site renders links.... it recognized additional text as part of the link incorrectly: http://p2p.wrox.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18328.

Just in case you wanted to know.

Brian

I'll look into it, but the automatic URL parsing is never going to be perfect.

You can prevent this problem from happening by explicitly specifying your URL. Put [url][/url] tags around the URL.

Hi Mehdi,

You got to use it this way.

[ URL="http://www.something.com" ]This is Something but nothing[ /url ]

That appears as This is Something but nothing to be clicked on. That way you won't find it behaving odd.

PS: for the above statement not to be processed the way an URL has to be on this page, I have left spaces around [,]s

Hope that explains.
Cheers!
