problems with IIS

Hi,
I have installed iis on my PC but when I try to test my web services by typing the following address in internet explorer:
' http//my-pcname/localstart.asp '
I get the message that 'page cannot be displayed'
I also want to mention that when I open iis through mmc , it shows my system/pc name but there are no icons for Default FTP Site, Default Web Site and Default SMTP Virtual Server'

My PC has got Windows XP Professional installed on it.

Can someone help me with this problem?

You may not have checked the check boxes for SMTP ot FTP or...when you've installed the IIS.

reinstall the IIS but this time ,chose details and then check the check boxes of SMTP,World Wide Service and File Transfer Protocol.
