Send a message via Yahoo to tact_259
Default MSN / Yahoo messenger like pop up window

Hello!

I am new in VB.NET developing a project same as MSN or Yahoo messenger (which shows: "You have one new message" something like that). I want to open a small pop up window right upon the system tray (in Windows Application), which will automatically open timely to show some information and disappears automatically also.

If you know, plz tell me.

Thanks

Hey,

You have a couple ways. You can use the Win32 libraries to access this information, or you can create another form to appear in the bottom right window. I found a project using another form on the web, although I must have deleted the project because I can't find it.

You can find information for this on the web.

Oh and one of the ways to make the window look like a popup is to set the background color to transparent. That's how the form did it in that project.

About 5 seconds of time invested and I used google to find this: http://freedownloadswindows.com/wind...pupNotify.html

You might want to try Google first next time.
