DropDown display issues

Hi working on ASP.NET (VS2003 and frame work 1.1).Displaying the dropdownlist in datagrid controle.
when i do the scroll dropdowns are disappering (actually taking long time to display).
this is happening when display setting of workstation is "windows classic style".

when i change the display settings(desktop/properties/appearance/windows & Buttons tab) "windows XP style" its working fine.

pl advice me .
