Exactly, meow.
kkp40: instead of complaining and reviving old threads for nothing, why don't you contribute something useful to these threads? Maybe tell us how it's done?

Or maybe who you are trying to hide your source from. Professioanl designers are not going to come to your site and steal your 3 column CSS design and rollover nav so they can reuse it in their own project, they are going to create their own because that is what they are paid to do. (One could also make the argument that if they are employed as a designer they do understand, at least, the basics of design and have some artistic ability.)
You would think if there was a huge issue that professional web design shops would be investing hundreds of hours to devise a solution to protect their source but they are not. Some topics just need to go away, this is one of them.

I like Richard's point best. Microsoft would have overhauled IE to allow them to keep www.microsoft.com code secret if they had even slightly wanted to. Neither they or any other corporation does because... it's ridiculous. And those development teams don't care if you borrow HTML, CSS, or whatever but an independent developer has discovered some HTML code worth protecting??? Whatever.

I prefer Joe's reply to a similar thread here: http://p2p.wrox.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=32294:
