Default Call the Java Web Service using HTTP-POST/GET

Hello Everyone,
          Calling a Java Web Service which is deployed in the Tomcat 5.28 Web Server, by the using the HTTP-POST/GET method in the Static(HTML) Page. Is't possible to call the Java Web Service using HTML Page?.
          If Any other method available, plz reply soon....
