Default J2EE or SDK??

currently confused about what version of java to use..
i wish to incooperate Java, JSP, XML, JDBC, SQL,into a project im using.

been advised in the JAVA XML book by wrox use the SDK version.
others suggest using J2EE

could someone PLEASE advise which version i should use for all above mentioned technologies
can i use both?? SDK and J2EE or only one?

If you are working through a specific book then I would suggest that you follow the advice given in the book and use the SDK.

uh, what exactly is the problem here? AFAIK there is ONLY the J2EE SDK, which still requires the J2SE SDK to be of any use at all.
