Default How to use the cmd console in NetBeans 5.5 RC 2 ?

Hello guyz. I am new at Java and using the netbeans 5.5 RC2 IDE. I would like to test run a Java application while practising on the cmd console of windws XP O.S. The program runs successfully but its running on the Output panel of the IDE and doesn't prompt you for variables as it should despite using bufferedReader the right way.

Anybody have experience with Netbeans and can direct me what to would be very helpful.
