Default Recording audio?

I am thinking about writing a web site for a small church I work at. I am pretty good with html so that part I should't have problems with. However, I would like to record the pastor's sermons and provide them to those who can't physically get there or for anyone for that matter. Neither the church or I have money available for video but I would like to provide the sermons in a couple of the most popular audio player formats.

1. What digital audio recording device should I use to do the recording and eventually download them from the recording device to my PC? (I would like to use my USB port if possible for this device), download them to my PC, add them to the web page and then upload the audio files and html file to my server). The sessions that will be recorded would be about 30 minutes.

2. What 2 audio player formats should I use?

3. And finally, a simple script I could use to insert the audio files to the web page so the users could click on them?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

1. The most simple solution would be a digital recorder with bluetooth/usb connection to put your audio files directly on you computer

2.I would use mp3 audio format because it's compact.

3. For uploading you need to write a server side script like ASP or PHP to upload you audio file to your website.

Good luck
