hi, i am about to undertake a project which requires me to use a csv file as the information for a website. the file will prob be in excel or plain text format.
i have no background knowledge on the technology, and would like to have a few pointers on it.
what technologies can be used to upload the files, how is the publishing process accomplished, how easily can the data be edited, will extended knowledge of php,xml or java be needed, and so on.

any information on the subject im sure will benefit me greatly, thanks in advance.
