i have no clue about either C++ or Java. i have some programming experience with JavaScript but i also understand that C++/Java and JavaScript are by no means comparable ... i was wondering if i should learn Java or C++ ?? can anybody help me to choose between these two ...

well...thats a good question but in my opinion there is no good comparison between java and c++ while many people say that if you learn c++ you can learn java easily but when i learnt java i really had more interest in it than c++ and c++ is also older than java. so if you are a javascript programmer you can directly jump on java. and it will be better for you to learn java because when you learn it you will know that how easy and beneficial it is for you. but from your side you can also take a look on the benefits of both languages on the sites of c++ and java for your saticfaction.
