Default I want to leanr a new language

Hello, i am a novice web designer and have learned a cuople of different languages. Among these are Java, HTML, CSS, and JSP. Im trying to decide what my next move should be. Should I continue learning about JSP and Java or start a new language like php or asp? Ahat is the difference between the two anyways? My overall goal is to one day design some sort of online game and start up a web design business, so i need to learn the most effective and widely-purposed web language there is.

-Thanks a bunch for your help

i think Java is more powerful, other languages are also good, but Java has a big role on the web..

No reason why you can't do what you want using jsp - if you don't mind straightforward things being difficult to do! I'm a big fan of Perl, Ruby and php. But whats probably most important is that you have a clear idea of what you're trying to achieve and pick the right tool for the job. Have a look at: http://www.objs.com/survey/lang.htm for an overview of some popular languages used widely in web development.
