I designing a database which will, in part, be able to track our product. This product ownership can change. Here are the specifics;

1. We obtain product and repair - a job number created on the job and product.
2. Customer purchases product - ownership changes from stock to client.
3. Client has problem with product returns for repair - job number generated unit repaired and returned with a 1 year warranty.
4. Client has problem with product, asks for an exchange. - unit exchanged with a stock unit, issued a 1 year warranty, client product becomes stock, unit repaired, jobs geneated for each product.
5. Product is certified and sold again - product ownership changes for third time.

My head keeps spinning with each method I come up with to try to track this type of rotation. Entire history must be maintained. Does someone have some advice?
