I am trying to load MySQL 5.0.19 after removing older version. I removed everything I could find in registry but now my new version won't load.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm a newbie and get lost very easily. Trying to set up blog with phpmyadmin and hit this roadblock

what is ur error msg ?
anyway, i install MySql 5.0 in xp pro without uninstall ver 4, i named the service 'MySql5', it load successfully as a new service.
