Help me to configured a server

I want to make web server for him I have apache 2.0, php5 and mysql5
I install all of this apache and php work grate but when I trying to install mybb on my host, when he want to initialize database for forum giving me a warning that mysql is not installed. How I must to configure sql server that work grate
