Default install vs.net along with Oracle9i

Can we install VS.net along with Oracle 9i ? Do we need IIS server ? As the web services for IIS & Oracle uses the same port(port 80 ). Pls let me know how to install vs.net along with Oracle9i.

Hi

You can perfectly install dot Net and Oracle 9i individually.

In your ASP.NET project, u can use OracleConnection, OracleDataAdapter to connect and retrive info into a dataset. Since dataset is independent of datasource, yes... they will work on port no 80
