Default Session timeout problem

Hi,
Iam facing a very strange session timeout problem.

I have set the session time out period as 120 minutes in the web.config, global.asax and also in the IIS.

But still the session is getting expired after 20 minutes(which is the default timeout period).

Iam going mad as to why is this happening???

Could anyone help me in solving this mystery??

Hi,

Have you tried to use less than 120 minutes? If not, try 25 and test again.

If it doesn't work, unfortunately I cannot help you.

Tks.

Even if we write in the web.config, front end ot set in the website properties it is still expiring.

The solution is that i am using iis 6.0 in which there is a setting saying shutdown worker process after being idle for _____ minutes. the default is 20 minutes.
After changing that setting, this problem has got solved.
