Composite's CreateChildControls called twice

Hello,

I have a control that inherits from CompositeControl class; in the designer, I was debugging my control, and it appears CreateChildControls is being called twice. Why is that?

This isn't the case at runtime. The page is running correctly, as I just ran a test, and it had the text within it. Any ideas? This really is a very troublesome problem.
