Default compact framework - device emulator

hi,
I am trying to write a .net 2.0 compact framework app for my HP PDA.

Question: I want to be able to store and read a datafile on the
PDA's storage card ( or even in the PDA internal memory ).

When testing my app in the emulator - how can I simulate reading/
writing to the device's storage card ? Is there a 'pseudo' file
that the emulator uses as the storage card ?

Forgive if this is dumb but its my first go at this.
TIA big time.
