i want to scedule task every night send mail to clients and also update status in database.

the mail format is in asp.net webapplication based on databse retrieval information.how i can i write webservice automatically run in the hosting server.

can you please guide me ,how to start this development.this is very urgent for me.

I've never done it myself, but here Combine Web and Windows Services to Run Your ASP.NET Code at Scheduled Intervals you can find an msdn article describing it.

You'll have to be able to deploy a windows service to your application server though...

So, as an alternative you could also just write a vbs or use wget and schedule it with the windows task scheduler.
