Default Installing Oracle 8i and Developer 6

Hi, frenz.
Which one should be installed first (Oracle 8i Personal edition or Oracle Developer 6)?
When I installed, both of them are in different oracle home, can they runs properly(OK)?

No proplem in the order of instalition but must be in diffrent home and is recommended to install the database first

usually I installed database first and then developer but must put in different oracle home and directory
