Default HELP: Perl CGI + Java

I have a onClick='submit();' in my Perl CGI code. How do I pass params to it (not using (if param=('name'))?

This looks to me like javascript, not perl.

You set paramaters using input elements in the form to which the control possessing the onClick belongs.

It's probably better not to use javascript for a submit button, as not everyone has javascript, just do <input type="submit" />
