 I am a beginer in php ,is there any Php editor like visual studio.net,i know to work php in .net studio by configuring IIS ,
I need to work in apache by using a different gui editor,its very urgent because i got a new project in php

I think that, I can do php scripting like .net coding using visual studio like editors.In Macromedia Dreamweaver ,php coding is done as inline methods. I have interested to know that any editor is like VS.NET

I've always used Zend Studio. It's a fairly sophisticated PHP IDE.

I've also used Crimson Editor in the past, a decent text editor for Windows with syntax highlighting support for many different languages.

And yes, as Surendran suggested, if you prefer something more visually driven, Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Dreamweaver supports PHP.

 I can suggest Codelobster php edition as a free source. I found here
 all basic functionalities for php development (code highlighting, outocomplete, search within project, debugger, Class view). I like it.

I've also heard about Zend Studio as about very handy, fully featured php IDE. But never tried it. Isn't free.

Why not stick with vs.net for developing your php you can allways just watch what your code does in your browser. and one other thing if you develop your php it's perfectly possible to build it on a IIS server and once your project is complete you copy your php code to an apache server it doesn't make any difference as long as the php versions of the IIS server and the apache server are the same you will be fine
