I've some suggestion:
SQL Server 2000 is a Microsoft World; it may be god ( on ur part! ) to use it with ASP/ASP.NET/IIS/Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition Server.
I read, u need PHP PEAR to use db like SQL Server 2000 or Oracle.
Read few Appendix pages of Wrox book, Beginning PHP 4.
U'll need classes, objects, requires, includes to do this.
