Default Upgrade 2000 DBs to 2005 or install SQL 2000/2005

I am considering moving from SQL Server 2000 to 2005 for my ASPnet 2.0 web sites. Here are 2 approaches I am planning.

1: Upgrade 2000 database to 2005 database and get rid of SQL Server 2000, or
2. New SQL Server 2005 database for new ASP.net 2.0 websites/projects and old SQL Server 2000 databases for old ASP.net 2.0/1.1/1.0
   websites/projects?

Which one is a better approach?

TIA,
Jeffrey
