Default Executing a file when button pressed

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me. I want to execute a .reg file when the user clicks a certain button. does anybody know how to do this or tutorials that show you. I already have the file created but i don't know the code to execute it if button clicked.

I can't see any good reason to get a webpage to write a registry entry except for trojan horse. What are you trying to do if I may ask?
