Default Elevator Simulator

New to Python I am trying to create an elevator (lift) that randomly takes an input of customers and number of floors and randomly distributes customers around the building until all the customers have reached their destination. The customer has three states waiting for the lift, in the lift or has arrived. There are three different classes to be used Building, Elevator and customers. Where do I start?
