I am facing the following problem on Sharepoint 2003.
I have a medium farm, with 2 WFE, 1 Index and SQL server 2000 cluster.
After a schedule a full crawl, I am receiving the following warning in the event Viewer:
This search server has mismatched CatID. This means the data for this server is stale compared to other search servers. You should attempt to re-propagate to synchronize it.

Once I force propagation of the Index I am not having this warning, however on scheduled crawling (Full Crawling) I am getting this warning.

I really appreciate any feedback concerning this issue.

I was wondering if you have fixed this problem because I ran into it also and need to resolve it as soon as possible.
