To Many Names

My table has data that looks like this:

tax_id
------------
123456789
123456789
123456789
123456789

last_nm
-------------
ASSOC
ASSOC
ASSOCIATES
CARE ASSOCIATES

first_nm
--------------
TENNESSEE URGENT CARE
TENN URGENT CARE
TENNESSEE URGENT CARE
TENNESSEE URGENT

vend_id
---------
41300
42777
43477
52036

I need to pull the first and last name from the table but only need one name.
As you can see the tax_id is unique.
