Hi
My database is 30GB
When i drop some tables, one was 4GB, and shrink database, size of database remained 30GB.
Why database is not now 24GB?
Thanks
alex
The files have room for manoeuvre so it doesn't have to try and grab more disk space each time a new record is added. You can reduce the size by right-clicking the db in Enterprise Manager and choosing all tasks | shrink database.
