Default Choice of TFT Monitor

First of all sorry to cross post Pro VB.Net.

I am looking for advise on 17" TFT monitors, i currently use a Dell 17" CRT monitor and have read that TFT monitor have more dots per inch hence a sharper picture

Any comments are welcome, eg monitor make, sharpness of text. My working resolution is 1280x1024.

I constantly have SQL Server, VB and VB.Net open and find that I get eye stain periodically

Any comments welcome

First of all,

this is not the right place to post this. Anyway, you should prefix "[OT]" or "[OFF TOPIC]" your subject line if you're desesperate for advise and there are no means to get a reply anywhere else.

Secondly, the parameter to look for is not pixel density (because all TDT have accepted manufacture faults) but CONTRAST: It must be 500:1 or higher (e.g. 550:1, 600:1, 750:1); most of budget TFTs are 450:1.

No Saeta, he shouldn't post off topic mesages here. We are not a hardware forum and don't intend to become one.
