Default Problem with the connection!

I tried to connect me with the enterprise/manager to a msde.
after a long long long time it worked.

but now i can|t connect neither with the qury analyser nor with the export/import wizzard!

Server doesn|t exist or access denied. but both are correct!!!!

Does anyone know why i can connect with the enterprise manager but not with the query analyser or with te wizzard from the sql server

please help!

Under Enterprise Manager Select the server/database that you have already registered and from the menu Select TOOLS >> SQL Query Analyser. That should let you in.

Hope that helps.
Cheers!

Problem solved.
The problem was that the enterprise manager only needed the port 1433 tcp.
All wizzards additional used the port 1434 udp!

I don't know why this is programmed so bad but so it is. the problem here was that this port wasn't open at the firewall.
thx
