Transfer SQL Database FROM One SQL PC To Another

Hi
  Please help

      I was having an sql database on my sql 2000 server machine.The hard disk gets full damaged.Luckily I have latest Backup file,Both .mdf and .log file and also sql script file.
     i installed sql 2000 on another machine now i want to transfer this sql database in this new sql 200 machine

Place the mdf and ldf in your data folder and go to enterprise manager and attach database.

Needs Your Help Again
It does not work when i attach the .mdf file it shows the following error.
error 5172 C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data\mydatabase is not a valid database file header.The pageaudit property is incorrect
