Merge Replication Metadata cleanup MSDE?

I have a bunch (10) MSDE databases that are on merge replication with my SQL2000 box for a particular application.

The merges run quite frequently, and over time the MSMERGE_TOMBSTONE and MSMERGE_GENHISTORY tables are getting quite huge, over 300,000 records.

How can I get these files down to a bearable level ?
