Default long running backup schedule

hi

We have 3 production servers in company . We implimented a backup strategy like taking weekly once full backup and regulary night 11 differential backup. This is very much suitable for ur production type. And these jobs are scheduled run at night 11o clock after completing the production hours.

Problem is that in these 3 system, one system backup process is taking around 12 to 14 hrs to complete. but remain 2 are complteting their backup process in 3 hrs.

and configuration and database size are similar in these 3 servers

what might be the problem

thanx in advacne

I can't say what the problem is..
But, you can reduce the time if you create a backup set with 4 different files rather than using a single backup file (Approx. to 3 hours) for the server which is taking long time..
