Stored Procedure to show Images

I to create a stored procedure that will display an image to my datase which has SQL server as the engine and Access XP as the GuI. Since Access uses OLE OBJECT for images they take up allot of resources so the image will reside on the table alone with the TM# as the PRMARY KEY. Has anyone ever done this before and if so does it slow the Database down ALLOT???
