Default SQL Server 2000 backups and Server 7

Hello,

We have use SQL Server 2000 and have been asked to provide a backup of a database to a client. It turns out that they are still on Server 7 and the restore is failing. Apart from them upgrading to 2K, is there anyway that I can get a backup in the correct version to them?

Many thanks in advance

John

The only way I can think off to do is, is to install SQL Server 7 on a separate (virtual) server. Then you can use DTS to transfer structure and data from SQL 2000 to the SQL Server 7 database and then make a backup of that database.

Other than that, I don't know how to fix this....
